We're excited to announce an awesome improvement to Chef2video’s live video broadcasting capabilities, courtesy of our partner Livestream.

Those of you with a webcam can simply click on the “broadcast now” link in your “My Page”. This will open a new Chef2video Live Broadcast panel with a bright “Go Live” button (guess what that’s for…).

So, if you are a:

• Foodie / Future Food Network Star: cooking something special this evening? Give your friends a link to your “My Page” and have them watch you cook while interacting with you via chat.

• Restaurant: Place a webcam in your kitchen to create more buzz and new PR opportunities. No reason to shiver unless you run a dirty kitchen – the passion in your kitchen is bound to both educate and entertain!

• Instructor/Cooking School: Broadcast your classes live or organize online classes.

• Food Writer / Blogger: Interact with your readers over your latest articles or blog entries.

Here’s a few tips to quickly promote your live broadcasts and generate viewers:

• Create an “event” within Chef2video and provide the link to your profile page.

• Let your contacts on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks know you’re broadcasting live. You can use the share/save bar at the top of the page to do this quickly.

• Announce the live broadcast on your blog and link to your Chef2video My Page.

• People will need to log in to view the live broadcasts. They may do so by a) using their existing Chef2video username and password; b) using their Facebook username and password or c) registering for free on Chef2video

Looking forward to seeing you Live!
